Looking to buy a portable heater

I’m looking to buy a electric heater for our living room but was wondering what brand is the best to buy and what is the best heater is to buy between the 3.
Oil filled radiator
Oil free radiator
Convector heater.

The oils filled rads are the cheapest source of portable heating I know of, you just have to think a little in advance to allow the oil to heat up. Best option is to purchase one with a 24 hour timer, no need to think about it then. The oil free option Is a good alternative. Convector heaters are more expensive to run but do give a more instant heat however it`s not a lasting heat.

with regards to oil/oilfree rads, delonghi seem to be the toughest and most reliable.
honeywell have decent warranty, but quality similar to the GETs
GET thereafter for the better price, quality suffers in particular on wheel supports

igenix are the cheapest ones with aq 2yr guarantee – they are worth the extra fiver over lloyron and any other less well heard of ones with only a year warranty.

integral stats are the biggest problem with the oil/oiless rads, they can go quite quickly if rad is over-used, so if ur gonna use it daily over winter, get the longer warrantied ones – 3 5 years…

Oil filled ones tend to hold the heat longer as the oils a insulater. But they take some time to warm up. But once warm they use little electric as they are controled by a thermostat.
