I’ve not been to a nutter’s house for while, so I was entertained yesterday by a full card carrying, “has anyone seen my camel” grade A model.

He is a retired civil servant with a faulty frost free f/f.
I arrived about 2 o’clock, I had not even crossed the door step and he’s having a pop about it being an all day appointment, turns out he had “demanded” an earlier call than was offered and those kind people in the call centre duly obliged by sticking the call on top of my fully booked 200 mile excursion that day!

The fault was with the freezer section only and after testing I find the faults a NTC evap sensor.
The appliance looked like an ex-display (2 year old build date, point of sale stickers etc) but has a cheque stub to support his story that he bought it last June, but he can’t find the receipt.

He claims to have lost a lot of food from the freezer and has made a list but binned the evidence. His list came to £140 for a two and a half drawer freezer.
He then claims much of the food was organic produce sourced from lentil munching type shops.

He then said “I want somebody from Bosch to go and buy all the food on the list and deliver it to me!”

Unfortunately, the part is out of stock and we will phone him as soon as the part is in.

“So then, until that time I will just have to eat take-out meals” says he.

I give him a “what’s the point look” and leave, checking over my shoulder all the way down the hall to the front door.

I hope I don’t go back, if I do you may see me at the “sandal sporting, beardy fellows greengrocers” you’ll know he got his way.

Great aren’t they? Subtle irony there BTW – “Anyone seen my camel?” was Jasper Carrott. 😀

    Chris.
