I can’t find that thread on stupid spare part pricing?…..(someone find it for me please and we can stick it at the top of this forum for all to input)….

…anyway 481941818294 Whirlpool Outer drum (around £120????????)….its only an oversized plastic plant pot for Chr**t sake!!! how is that price justified??? 👿

50 quid for it plus fitting charge and I could turn a perfectly good, very reliable machine back into action. (W100 by the way 😉 )

    At that price, nobody wins!!!!!!!!!!

Indeed Ken and thanks…I never thought to look in the Public Forums.. :boops:

P.S Daft idea that it should be there in the public gaze at all really anyway, as it only reinforces their belief in the pointlessness of getting machines repaired anyway. Far better we put the point across to the manufacturers and suppliers and keep it from Joe Public I reckon????

Martin, try doing these calls for less than £30.00 as several of the Whirlpool Service partners have to, 2 trips as well unless they pre diagnose!

Martin, thats not much more than the old Hotpoint WM tubs, given that Whirlpool parts are on the pricy side, it doesnt seem over the top to me. Not worth it, yes but not surprisingly high. Just run of the mill and IMO doesnt qualify for inclusion in that thread anyway. Am I waffling on here? I think so.
