As a tumble dryer was stacked on top of this machine I estimated a total repair of around £140 which she was happy to pay. It was in the back of my mind however that it could be a sealed drum and sadly that is the case.
Just rang her up to say the cost would now be around the £200 mark.
She is now going to get a new machine and it wont be a Zanussi thats for sure.
This is the first job I have lost for this reason and it wont be the last 😥

Unless she is very careful the chances of her next one also having a sealed drum are very high. 😥

What difference does the tumble dryer make to the cost of the washing machine repair? 😕

Sorry should have explained that rather than take the dryer down to check if the drum was sealed I assumed it had a split tub so estimated job at £140.
Customer was going to lift the dryer off the washing machine.

Told her to get a German built Siemens with a 5yr Gtee, not an easy bearing change on these I know but less likely to happen.

    Had one call today 😥
