ParticipantI have a problem with a Bosch washer dryer flashing E13, it will wash but not dry.. low water pressure! Customer recently moved into a bungalow on a bore hole and it has about .5 bar, it did work at the previous address. Will a booster pump solve my problem? nearly put in a single pump for a shower but was advised it would not increase the pressure just the flow of the water! anybody know of a pump which would solve this problem reasonably cheaply?

I would have thought so! The local plumbers on Jersey should be able to give you tips on the best type to fit as I would imagine they come across this problem all the time? 😉

Cheers for the reply Martin, though it was a local plumber who advised me to fit a shower pump, then a guy (manager from out the back) at the wholesaler thought it may not do the job. The flow is restricted on the dry… I may try it any way, unless…

Clarke pumps which can be found at CPC (pt no SI1543)which I have used on American top loaders will do the job,you will need to visit plumbing store for connection adapters to take washing machine hoses check if the control is a pcb type and check it can take the pump wattage, you could always fit a relay if in doubt. Not the manufactures spec but needs must.

I would always use a Stuart and Turner RG250 brass pump. Built to last and never any problems. Usually on american washers I would take a feed off the water valve. For machines which can’t handle the extra current you can use the same pump with an integral flow switch.
Not always the cheapest way to do it, but no call backs and a happy customer

Might be worth trying removing all restrictors in water valve entry side if not yet tried. I know Hotpoint used to make a special low pressure valve.(Might be just an ordinary valve with restrictors removed?)
