Lux Air extractor pcb

Hi,

I’m in need of a module, (push button pcb), for a Lux Air extractor fan.
Model Is la-90-100-110-cvd blk

If anybody can help it would be really appreciated as usual.

but a lot of cooker hood switches blow because the lamp blows and blow the pcb tracks which can be repaired

check fuse also it should be 3A and kitchen fitters seldom change them leading to costly repairs

Thanks for the web link but I took at look at that yesterday. The page is either not working or it didn’t recognise the model number.
I’ve had a look at the pcb, I’ve had many a bulb blow over the years and theres no blown tracks or black marks inside but there is power getting in. So I know it’s definately this. I’ve had many a pcb blow with a lamp and it’s had the 3amp fuse in tbh.

a cooker hood with the correct fuse wow that’s rare lol

assume hood may be an older model so not listed on their site.

don’t know with this model but

a lot of cooker hoods use a motor with multi tapping’s

normally its something like 4 wires on a 3 speed unit. each switch on the bank feeds a different wire depending on the set speed + a neutral

while I could see one switch going faulty I cannot see all three unless there is a broken track on the board between the live in and the first switch ( I am assuming its simple switching and not using electronics )

I) would check the board for hairline cracks where the power goes in to the first switch from the term block

2 check the motor. they fix a thermal cut out on the neutral wire out of the motor. so if it goes open and have had a few, nothing works

hate you to buy a new switch at the prices lux-air want and it fails

Cheers Dave, it is defo the board, I took it out completely yesterday to check everything over on it. There was a bubble on one of the components and like I said power going into it. I always pull them out just to check for dry joint, blown tracks, cracks etc. I done many over the last 30 years and like you say many a time a bulb has caused it, but not this time.
I have replaced a few lux air panels over the years and have had to used their website to source them from memory but I think their spares page is down. I’ll give them a call tomorrow.

and I bet you are wondering where the heck did those 30 years went
Am over 40 myself and If someone had told me I would still be doing this 40 years later I would have laughed at them lol

Your not wrong there Dave, yeah i’m 44 this year and I only went into the business to help my dad out while he was busy and here I still am. Tbh i’ve probably had the best year for a long while this last year so things aren’t all that bad and there are a lot worse jobs I could be doing for less money. I did think about having a change about 5/6 years ago when things were tight, but I can’t complain.
