    Hi Martin,

Went to look at this today as i had not noticed that I’d got a reply to my post.
And this drum is not welded, Prod. No. 914900081 00 btw.
The bearings sound fine but there is a very slight bit of movement up and down of the inner drum lip and I’m not sure if this is causing the problem but the drum vibrates like crazy during the spin which cause an awful noise.
They purchased this machine a few months back, second hand, and I’m not sure now if someone has maybe replaced the drum with a different type!
Rang my supplier this morning and got a standard bearings and seal price, but a very high price for a shaft, €120+, so don’t think they’ll go for it anyway.

You’re not gonna know what the state of it is until you get it in bits. Could be the shaft loose in the spigot? Earlier bearing job cock-up? Secondhand machine so who knows what happened before? An exciting prospect overall……. 😐
