Lux W/Dryer steaming up.

Condensor clear, valve tests out OK. Don’t seem to be getting neutral to valve.

I didn’t have my lappy with me this morning so no TDS to look at.

Going back later, are there any known areas I need to be looking at?

Does this timer controlled model have an ntc in the dryer hose Bob?

I can’t see one on the wiring diagram.

I do have one question though, what are the numbers inside boxes such as 124.34051/ next to some of the lines on the wiring diragram. 😕

They represent the part no’s of the respective wiring harness to that component.

Steam issues always mean no water through condenser so in this case with no supply to valve has to be a dryer timer fault or connections to it. Which is where I suspect you may be heading here.:wink:

Not a fault I’ve come across mind. Usually it is a duff valve or clogged up air break at the back of dispenser?

Thanks Martin, perusing the wiring diagram did lead me towards the dryer timer, we shall see. 🙂

Thats one good thing about the old Hotpoint 9900/WM series dryers,only a second to whip the small black cap of the condensor inlet at the back to check if you had water coming out.

Yeah. But if you didn’t you had to fiddle around taking out about fourteen screws from different angles just to get at the water valve.

So you are telling me that you prefer the modern trend of a tiny or even non existent back panel to a full sized removable one. 😛

Give me loads of screws and total access any time. 8)
