EWX14440w pnc914602300 00. Comes up ED4 after starting wash cycle. Door locks and then flashes code straight away. The dryer works ok. Is this a pcb fault. If so, which 1 please?

Do an insulation test on the drying element – if it is below 40Meg then change it, you could also disconnect it to prove that it is that part at fault, also check the wash element but it is more likely to be a drying element.

Hi, are you saying that the drying elememnt stops the a wash cycle from working even though the dryer operates when set?

Yes it can do – lux machines get tetchy if anything drops below an insulation resistance of 40Meg – if you do a search on here for ‘ed4’ you will find that in 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of cases it will be the drying element that cures it. My first thing would be to insulation test the machine to confirm this as it is the most likely cause although it is possible for it to be other things.
