ParticipantThis one has me baffled. Magnet oven Model SO/702/01.
Problem.
Grill heats up initially almost gets red then cools off. Turns out the element is losing its neutral supply which is supplied through the oven thermostat. Or that’s the way it looks to me. If you turn the oven stat up a bit the grill proceeds to heat up but the thermostat for the grill does not regulate. Does this ring a bell or has anyone got a service diagram.Another thing, are spare parts available for Dyson or is he still upsetting the apple cart? 👿

Ally, this is quite normal, the oven thermostat should be set to max. We used to be Whirlpool service agents, and the amount of calls we had for “my grill won’t work” was unbelievable. The thermstat acts as a sort of safety cut-out should the grill overheat. If the grill reg still won’t work, replace it.
On Dyson, all spare parts are now available 🙂 through either Electrue (Connect Distribution) or Washvac. There may be other distributors as well.
Hope this may be of some help.

ParticipantThanks for that Dave.
I changed the grill thermostat thinking along the same lines as you. Although it still wont regulate which makes me think it might be wired up wrong. Unfortunately the cust had to go and pick up kids from school. I will book another appointment and let you know the outcome. 😯

a few Magnet branded whirlpool ovens, To use the grill
you have to set the oven stat to max for the grill to stay onGoosegreen
