ParticipantWe have a AEG model T59870
Type P502867 tumble dryer. Prod no: 916 096 618 00
as It seems the pulley needs to be replaced often , this time I saw a ring next to the engine . I used A tool to get it out .
see picture ( will follow)what I mean .
I’m not sure if this belong to the motor or it’s melted plastic from the old motor pulley.

ParticipantThanks a lot, I took the guess and removed that piece.
Thank for the support.July 17, 2021 at 1:33 pm #477744washingmachinewoman
ParticipantIf pulley carries on needing to be replaced often, I would suggest something is not running true.
One of the likely culprits could be the drum rollers. Should save you money in the long run as you will not be changing the pulley every 5 minutes
Cheaper on eBay, do a search on 1364059004. I would steer clear of second hand ones though.

ParticipantDave , if I undertand Electorofix correctly, he said that i need to replace the drum roller, as my pulley gets damaged after one week… .I’m just not sure where to find the drum roller.

Moderatorif the drum roller had gone it would not damage the belt pulley in that way. the front of the drum would run lower down but its got to wear a heck of a lot to make any difference. a few mm is not going to alter things so if it worn any more your either an industrial laundry or the pully has a design flaw and it would be visible
did the new pulley come in a genuine zanussi/aeg packaging ? Am wondering if they sent you a copy part and passed it off as gen. Or did you get it direct from AEG ?

ParticipantDear
To confirm the piece that should be part of previous pulley .
I read in the manual :In some models, there may be a plastic spacer between the rear bush and the motor. During assembly, take
care you reposition it correctly.
does this speak about the side where I took out the old pulley ? If yes then chances is that that little piece should be put back , after cleaning it from the plastic melted on itAugust 4, 2021 at 7:54 pm #477753electrofix
Moderatorthats talking about the motor not the pulley. probably to extend the motor so it will fit and pivot correctly
