Double oven gas/elec Kenwood CK 404 FS. Background: I replaced `fan` element in the main oven year ago, recently fan setting not heating (grill element still heats up).
I have yet to test `fan` element for continuity but it is not `blistered` and looks ok.
I was thinking thermostat would be at fault and then realized that possibly all elements in the main oven are linked to the same thermostat and therefore the grill element should not heat up….would this be correct.
Anything else I should check ? So I can plan before I pull the cooker out for any disassembly.

there is normally a re light on cookers that goes out when it gets to temp. if this light is on then go straight for the circular element

plus fit a gen element where possible as the pattern elements have dubious quality

Thanks Dave, yes the red light comes on so when I pull the cooker out I will check the element although it does look ok with no blistering.

    Update:
Pulled the oven out and an unattached connection, looking closely it looks like it has overheated and burned.
So I am thinking maybe the connection not tight enough and arcing. So should I just clean up make sure connection is tight or should I look for some other cause?
