Manual for Hotpoint CTD40P

Guys,

I wonder if any of you would be able to supply me with the service manual for the Hotpoint CTD40P tumble drier.

I seem to be having problems with a machine I have come across, it’s a three stat version that occasionally provides heat, thermostats all appear to be ok, I’m right in thinking that the white sta should be open circuit aren’t I?

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked the integrity of the insulating band under the contact track around the drum? If there is a short here it will affect the heating…..:wink:

Not really, its an NTC not a stat so it depends how you are testing it. 😉

Hi mark the machine sounds like it has 2 stats and a thermistor
the thermistor is usually one piece moulded
unlike the stats if both stats are ok it could be the thermistor
some hotpoint machines have a front one as well as a rear
