marghereta 2000 a1234 advantage
Couple of years old dial turns constantly and light flashes twice
Any body know what this is an error code for

Hi Drive

2 flashes is a motor fault which could either be an open or short circuit tacho. Also i would be checking the motor connections on the PCB.

Dont forget to unplug machine before diving into the back of the washer

Thanks for the reply.
Had an engineer out today and he did some quick checks and said it was most likley to be the main board – (£80.00 plus labour) – about £100 to fix.

Hello, Pete Domestic & General http://www.domgen.com will do you a warranty for about £100 which will cover all parts and labour repairs for a year, please note this will only cover faults which appear “after” the policy was taken out. I have one of these policies and the machine failed within a week of the policy being taken out, repairs were carried out within 5 days and by the manufaturersa agents at no charge to me. I would look into this and you can also pay the premium over 10 months.

Portwood http://www.portwood.co.uk will also quote you a policy with AXA for about £60 but I received the quote after i had taken out the DOMGEN policy, so I have no idea how good they are.
