MARGHERITA 2000

Hi found your excellent forum while searching for answers to a fault I have with my three year old Margherita 2000 Advantage A1435. It has started what seems to be a common fault reported in that the dial just click around while the machine fills and empties. I have cleaned out the filter and tried to reset all to no effect. The light which I understand gives an error code flashes three times about every ten seconds.
Hope somebody can help me with this problem,

Hi BF,
3 flashes indicates a problem in the heater control circuitry; possibly the thermistor sensor or the electronic board or even wiring.

It’s likely to be complex and technical whatever is wrong, so if you are not completely confident in your own abilities, check the Directories section to see if there is a UKW engineer in your area or stick your postcode up here and someone will pick up on it.

Finally got time to have a good look at the washing machine and armed with your knowledge, removed the back and after pulling at the wires connected to the thermister found one had broken off inside the connector shroud. One crimp later, fingers crossed switched on and it works. Many thanks Penguin45 my wife was already planing a new washining machine, and I was convinced it would be the control board. 😀 😀
