Margherita 2000

Help! Our Margherita 2000 has just started to dry when not rquested to do so. The dryer setting is off and the temp is on 0, yet on every cycle it dries….any ideas?

2000 is a generic range of washing machines, it should be inside the door or on the rear of the applinace.

This one’s a bit odd and it all points to the control PCB 🙁

Are there any lights flashing etc or the knob rotating indicating an error code ?

no codes showing.

The sequence of events goes like this…as you turn the cycle knob to its relevent number and press the button to start, it flashes rapidly as normal and then the dryer light comes on. It washes as normal, but as it comes to the drying cycle it drys even though ,according to the time and temp knob, it isn’t supposed to on!

any thoughts?

Yep, I still think it’s the PCB but I would advise an engineer to confirm in all honesty as these machines can do very odd things at times.

Try resetting it, if that doesn’t work then try Repairs@ for a local engineer.

Reset procedure – set the knob to a black dot (off) position and press the start button for 10 seconds, then try to start a programme, it may work 🙂
