KeymasterHi,
the problem I am experiencing is that one.
Whatever program I set:
– the water is put inside the drum (I don’t know if it is the right quantity)
– then the drum starts to rotate in counterclockwise direction
– after some rounds of the drums, it stops and I hear the ‘click’ from the relais for inverting the rotating direction sense, but the drums remains blocked;
– after some other attempts to start, the water comes out from the drum and the knob command starts to rotate continuosly;
– about the error code, I got one rapid flash sequence every two seconds and then after seven seconds, cyclecally.Thanks in advance for any suggestion or help.

This isn’t a UK model I’m afraid Tanio so I have no direct information on it, but one flash normally indicates a problem with the motor speed control which goes along with the symptoms you describe.
Where abouts are you by the way ? 🙂
Dave.

Ciao Dave,
I’m italian guy posting from Sicily.
Thanks for your kind response, I agree with your analisys, but the speed control detects a failed restart of the drum after some problems occured in the motion command. What do you think?
By the way, you know how to decode the error information coming from the red LED?

It all points toward a faulty control board I’m afraid, more specifically the motor control part of it.
You’ll need to get a local engineer out I think to confirm.

… sigh! I must confess… 😯
I am an engeneer involved in home appliance motor control applications in a big WW company… that’s the pure reality!!!
But for this reason, I am a little worried to open the WM, starting to analyze by myself all that stuff… 😥 you can understand…

Tanio
From the symptoms that you describe it appears that one of the two relays used to reverse the motor direction is faulty (bad contact).
Because the microcontroller does not receive a signal from the tachometer on the motor during this period it aborts the program and gives an error code + knob rotation.
Should’nt be a problem for a man in your line of work to solder two new relays onto the module. The two relays are those who’s pins are directly linked to each other (usually RL2 & RL3).
:zap: Don’t forget to PULL THE MAINS PLUG before removing the module from the machine :zap:
