After being interrupted mid cycle by a power failure, my machine is not working properly. After selecting the programme it flashes 1-2 then rapidly 3 or 4 times (as usual when I select a programme ) it then just clicks round and round. I have tried unplugging and starting again etc, can anyone help me please?

When the timer knob starts to click round you need to count the number of times the mains neon indicator flashes, it should flash a set number of times then pause, then repeat until you switch off. Post back when you have this information, the number of flashes should give you an error code.

Hello, thankyou for your reply, I have counted the flashes after setting the programme and it flashes 13 times, hope this is helpful with the diagnosis!

Hayley, 13 flashes suggests a faulty dryer NTC/ temperature control, often it is just a broken wire near the top of the dryer heater box. It should not be too expensive to repair, try the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help. Please remove the mains plug if you intend to proceed further yourself.

    Jim.

Jim, thanks so much for the advice, my machine is now fixed! repair man came first thing this morning, it was exactly as you said, a very fine wire near the top of the heater box.
