Today we had a set back, so a new way has to be found to keep the flow of information of useful data.

We would like anyone out there who wishes to take part in Market Reasearch about this industry to let us know. We have a need to gather about 10,000 ordinary users of Domestic Appliances, permission to contact them regarding their use of Soap powder/liquid/liqitabs ect. Over a 3 month period thats 2,500, perfectley legal and Data protection assured contacts. We guarantee to not want to know anything about the Appliance, the origin of the call (ie private, in guarantee, contract, warranty ect), in truth we don’t care.

Our concern is how and why some consumers use what soap and when. The results we will use to advance our support of soap technology and help it advance in real time.

The set back today was where a work provider actually instructed one of their independents that he could not take part in this market research, without giving a single explanation as to why.

So if you have an interest to help the industry help themselves, let us know. Your reward is that it will improve the industry for all, even those who oppose this will benefit because their agents will benefit too. If you belong to the work providers network who oppose this and are refused access please ask them to put in writing to you WHY you can’t take part, bet they don’t.

In the end it’s the housepersons choice, no one else’s.

Sad really, we find a way to help everyone and get this sort of rubbish as a response.

Just shows how much value that is put in the agents by some people and how much respect for running your own affairs you really have. Or is that fear that we are actually a little organised for once?

Independent, I don’t think so if someone else is calling the shots on how you run your business.

Lawrence, there’s still a lot that is done by innuendo and a sly phone call, hint dropped at a meeting. It’s pathetic. At least if I have something to say I have the bottle just to say it and commit to the opinion, right or wrong.

I doubt that this will be put in writing, along with a host of other little gems as it would be viewed as a restraint of trade by certain official bodies. And trust me, I have no compunction or reservation about fighting the independents corner and right to control their own businesses. Not a threat, a fact. I’ve done it before, there’s nothing to stop me doing it again.

I was about to go into one of my patented rants about this sort of cr4p that we have to endure, but I thought the better of it and I’ll stow it for now. It’s enough to say that dictating terms to the independents won’t work, please understand that the guys have brains, they are not mindless employees and will react accordingly in their own best interests induvidually.

We’re not going to tell you who it is, we don’t need to. What we need is for the situation to be put right and not to happen again, that’ll do.

I seem to remember another network using threats and dictates. As I recall, it nearly finnished them in the end.
