ParticipantHi everyone.Ive recently been given a masterlux 3in1 cleaner thats badly leaking.Whats happened is the plastic tube that connects the pump motor to the Y valve has snapped,I think its been hit hard at some point to have broken it.Is it possible to repair or replace this item as I dont really want to buy a new cleaner just for the sake of a broken piece of plastic.Sorry for no model number as I cant find one but hopefully the pictures will make up for it.
Also whilst Im thinking about it the fitting for the water pipe(the one with the orange release clip) doesnt work anymore the pipe keeps falling out,is this fixable as well.Cheers
Cleaner.

The part that has broken off.

Just another pic.

I think you might be in trouble here…… Machine appears to have been last made in 1991, there is no parts listing on the technical information disc, so parts are probably obsolete.
Sorry,

It is old,I didn’t realise it was that old but free is free so it doesn’t owe me anything. It was working Ok today apart from the water leak.I might be able to fix it so it will hold together but was really hoping to get new parts for it.

The Goat will probably spot this in the morning and be able to tell you something rather more definitive.

Meh!
All the parts are obsolete, unfortunatly 😕
Only bags, filters and tools are available. Unless your local vacuum repair shop has a huge warehouse full of old parts? But nothing new can be ordered!

Cheers.
Ive now had a go at repairing it and it does seem to be holding together.I have drilled an 8mm hole in the plastic Y piece and done the same on the brass tubing through the plastic that was stuck in there. and glued a piece of 8mm plastic tubing inside and braced it all together, hopefully it is going to do the trick.June 15, 2007 at 8:20 pm #212937micka7

I have one of these. If you give up due to cost of genuine spares i would gladly buy your old machine to make one out of two.
