As explained to me by a friendly customer services rep at Masterpart:
They had problems with CityLink, as CityLink decided to close their Southend-on-Sea depot and let the Basildon depot cover a wider area, as they ‘could cope’ with the extra workload.
They couldn’t cope with the extra workload, so parcels were still being collected, but stored in the Basildon depot until they could get round to sorting them out for onward shipping, which was not always a fast process.Masterpart have now changed couriers and my parcels are arriving via “Home Delivery Network”, which appears to be the new courier service they are using.
I’m still not always getting the next day delivery in Lincoln, although it is a lot better than it was in the final days of CityLink. I normally get parcels within 2 days, though. It’s probably just teething problems with the new couriers, but it doesn’t hurt to send your MasterPart sales rep a quick email to find out what’s happening – they may be unaware of any hold-ups themselves.

Has anyone checked their Masterpart back-orders lately? I just did and apparently I’ve had a HP09103 tumble dryer belt on back-order for over a year. :rolls:

I’m pulling my hair out with Masterpart. Parts arriving without being ordered. Then getting a credit without having the carriage charge credited. Still having real problems getting my deliveries, despite an e-mail to Masterpart authorising that parcels can be left. I did have an order sent to my mums address the other week, and HDN left by the front door step, and this is on a busy road.Yet they won’t leave a parcel at the office which is in the middle of nowhere. :bang: .
