Best advice is to set up accounts with BOTH, that way you can play one against the other. 😉
You’ll get loads of folk slagging off BOTH in equal proportion I’m sure of that. But as the old saying goes……” never put all your eggs in one basket!” 8)

Blimey funbobby what are you like? :rolls:
I’m not sure what you expect from a wholesaler but again having account access to both has to be the way forward……a good tip though on the “unusual stuff” is that if neither stock it you can be assured no-one wants it!….. Remember that priceless snippet and you can’t go far wrong!

Or have an account with both and Qualtex and HT Maddocks and Homespares.
TBH They all know their stuff but some are better at particular products.

For stock availability, Connect usually the best, followed by Qualtex, followed by Masterpart. Price, no hard and fast rule, best to shop around. Customer service, pretty good most of the time these days in my experience.

I use three suppliers – Masterpart, Connect and Qualtex. They are all good, I use their websites all the time, Masterpart are great for cross-referencing of parts wheras Connect and Qualtex aren’t that good.
Connect loves to beat Qualtex on prices and they will bend over backward to match price, the downside is that you have to do it through your sales rep. I don’t dislike them but you don’t get personal relationship with them besides Connect are behaving like Tesco – too big for its own boot.
Qualtex are fab, I prefer them out of the three. It’s one guy who looks after you, build good relationship and it always the same guy you get to deal with.

Had my connect account closed as i had not used for 2 months, spoke to rep who said new policy is you must spend at least £100 every month or the accounts will be closed!, clearly they are making so much they can now turn people away!

Since swallowing up eSpares and flogging spares all over the Internet they cannot be bothered with the little guys.
