Hi, I’m looking to replace our existing Hotpoint fridge-freezer with a matching new upright fridge and separate freezer. Standard width steel, grey or black finish.
Looking to buy as good quality as we can without breaking the bank so budget for each would be somewhere around £800 although we could push that up a bit if necessary.
Initial investigation has led me to narrow it down to a few brands – Bosch/Siemens, Miele or Liebherr – should I be considering any others?
It seems Liebherr is highly regarded here but you have to pay a bit extra for it also they don’t appear to be too easy to get hold of and none of the fridges appear to have a specific meat/fish drawer.
Are Bosch/Siemens good enough or would you advise always pushing the boat out and getting Liebherr even with the small compromises?
Re: Matching upright fridge and freezer buying advice please
Hi
It’s well known Liebherr are the best and if I could afford one I would. Miele are produced by Liebherr, Bosch or Siemens would definitely be a good second option.
No such thing as standard width I’m afraid, best to measure space available first in order to avoid tears later.
