No heat and found the non self-resetting 90deg stat tripped. (It is not manually resettable either.)
Got stat kit from Connect part no. MDI674000900009 (the I might be a 1, there’s no sure way of telling.)
Connect’s yellow label on packaging states: “thermostat kit contains 1 x non self r.. ” (runs out of characters).
But this is what I find:

Well, I decided to fit it for now, warned customer to keep an eye on it until I get back to them with an answer from Connect. In the meantime, does anyone here know about this?

Re: Matsui MF160 thermostat confusion / safety issue?

They’re both at back. It’s marked on them which is which, just like in my picture. The 78 deg is left looking from front of m/c. The 90 deg non-resetting is on right. That’s how it was on m/c I worked on. Cannot guarantee it for your m/c.
Edit: Anyway, you should replace them both, that’s why they’re sold as a kit.

Yes, looks like you have wrong kit. Should be 78 self-resetting 90 no-self resetting. Just checked on Connect – same kit for MF145.

Ah but put your glasses on! Picture on Connect shows Tf78C
    You must be seeing 170
