MAV7075AWW Maytag fills with water stops until console hit

I have a MAV7075AWW Maytag that fills the water, and then stops. I have replaced the circuit board and timer, but it does the same thing. If you hit on the Console, it will continue on with the cycle, but stops again when it is done with that part of the cycle. By hitting it again it will continue to the end of that part of the cycle. If you continue in this way, you can complete the entire washing cycle. I thought it was the timer not making connections within the timer, but now I have no idea why this is happening. Anyone have any ideas??
