    I have just moved house and there is a Maxol Majestic Duo (Double oven) and Maxol Mistral hob unit installed. I would like to renew/replace the Oven and Hob taps/knobs which are made of the brown urea safety push/turn type.

    The double oven/hob unit is I think a number of years old.

    Can anyone suggest where I might be able to obtain these ❓ .

    Could you check the rating plate for the GC (gas council) number please.

    There’s quite a few versions of these, although as you say, a number of years old and very possibly obsolete.

    The details on the rating plate are shown as:

    GC no: 11-202-06
    Serial Number 119 (although someone has written 001092 next to this)
    Burco Ltd Burnley.

    Dave,

    Thanks for looking into this for me. I have been able to source some knobs for the hob unit and (as a precaution) decided to get the whole double oven/grill unit checked over by a Corgi registered guy.

    Anyway I have now decided that the who lot needs replacing and have just placed an order for a Creda S230GB Double Oven and matching hob.
    I think this will be the best option in the long run.

    I’m looking for some spares for the Maxol Majoestic Duo since the door catch on mine has broken – still got the beast – I’ll collect? glennm@upgrade.co.uk

    Glenn, email me a photo of the catch if you can, the only spares listed for these are the knobs now due to their age.

    Yes, but VERY slow to arrive (4-6 weeks), and only in white.

    If you want a set, drop me an email and I’ll check it out next week for you.
