I have a Samsung RS21 and have a question. Should the fan behind the panel in the fridge be running all the time or only during the defrosting? The fan is not blocked with ice but I never hear the fan working at all as I can hear at the freezer. I have some minor icing problem in the fridge but I defrosting manually every 6 mounth.

    Hi

Manually defrosting every 6 months is a waste of time as the fridge will never be at the correct temperature I wouldn’t personally eat anything out of a faulty fridge.Sort the problem out and repair it.

I am not sure if something is wrong. It is 5 degrees on the display and with a precision thermometer I got between 4.2 and 5.0 on all shelf in the fridge. Is that normal of the fan is not working. Small ice build slowly up at the bottom of the front panel. It is a RS21NDSV.

    HI Willie

Was the ice build up there when you purchased the fridge new..NO !

Therefore you have a fault. the fan should run when the door is closed.
