    Good evening all,

Attended the above m/c today, and confirmed that the unit is suffering from excessive vibration on spin, especially with anything other than a well-balanced load.

The only conclusion I’ve come to is that the six springs in the base have become weak over time, as the unit is around 16 years old.

In my opinion, the tub/drum assembly can be moved far too easily from side to side.

Has anyone come across this problem, or should one renew the said springs and see if this helps?

    Thank you,

    jontymox

it will be the snubber ring thats worn, its the plastic ring that the sits between the tub and chassis, dont have the part no to hand as its a while since i worked on one.

    Hello Bob,

Thank you… that makes sense, as the springs are used more for lateral suspension.

Will try and ascertain part number.

    Kind regards,

    Jon

p.s. “snubber” ring is a new term for me!

    Sorry,

I meant up and down, not lateral spring tension/movoment!

    Bob,

I think I’ve located the part online, (21001161)

Do you know if I will need any other parts for this problem, and where to obtain them, as I got the part number from an American website.

    Kind regards,

    Jon
