    got a problem with fridge freezer with tripping out as soon as switch on .
    meggar it and yep down to earth , have checked compressor ,defrost heater in freezer ,thermostat in freezer and check pcb in door ie both of them but still down to earth and no problem with above ,any idea`s model is fd8212

    Wiring loom through hinge chaffing??
    Also need model number, usually starts G……. 😀

    are they common for that and appliance is only 2 years old .

    Was just a thought.
    Have you looked at the dispenser area,esp PCB. Prone to leaks from poorly closing ice flap.
    Solenoid for ice flap goes awol aswell.

    checked that and fine no water marks and not down on earth and yep check pcb as well and clean dry and no that .

    the most likely cause of this would be the defrost heater, followed by the compressor, but as you’ve checked these, obviously not!
    have you checked the condensor and evap fans?

    Have only ever had earth faults on these by the following
    1/ Defrost heater
    2/ Compressor
    3/ Ice maker Unit

    Have sent you circuit diagram by email 😉

    PS – Defrost heater was weird, leakage went acceptable when out of circuit but but when I physically meggered it, it read ok 😕 Changed it and hey presto so…………

    got to be ice maker then as try everything else and by removing defrost heater and compressor from circuit didn`t make anything difference ie still down to earth
