Maytag dishwasher MDW0713AGW

Hi. On turning on this dishwasher will pump ( as is the usual ) but for 15 secs then nothing then F4/E4 flashes up. No idea what this means, anyone know please? Now I had the machine`s side panels off, the base which was dry so no leak, I checked the inlet valve which is ok, decided to give the machine another try on quick wash…..it pumped, then filled then washed and heated the water to the end but susp[ect it`ll all go to pot again withinn next few days. I noticed that there is a special 2 way valve next to the wash motor with 2 pipes 1 pipe goes to the sump and t`other pipe goes to a water chamber (?) r/h/side of the machine, when tested nothing remotely happened, so not sure what this valve actually does? Found a Polish website and via translation found F4E1 / F4E2 = VSM communinication…What does that mean? The only other F4 / E3 = a wash motor problem but that works. Anyone know anything abput these machines info is dreadfully scant.
