been here today and the evap is iced up cust says she has been defrosting it on and off for months and she is now sick of doing it.The heater and limit stat are closed so i presume it must be a board fault can anyone confirm this or have any manuals or tech info on these?

This model has a normal defrost timer, no electronics for defrost, only cool drawers and fountain.

thanks for reply i was looking for the pcb or timer but couldnt find it.I noticed workings behind the cool drawers is that where it is mounted?
have you any part numbers for timer?

part no. is 61003601. Its in top of fridge, under controls cover.

who does maytag spares as connect say timer is a special order.

We get our stuff from Maytag, I don’t know who else supplies…sorry

bradshaws would supply the part.

alternatively, you could try a generic defrost timer (paragon), that would work. you may have to slightly alter the connector, not sure.
