Maytag GZ2727GEHB/24 american f/f smells.

Maytag GZ2727GEHB/24 double door ‘zig zag’ side by side fridge freezer. FD8307. Serial no:- 24158988CN.

The ice maker is working fine and clean. The water filter is new. yet the ice smells like a fishmonger’s apron!! Really bad!!
Any ideas why? And is this machine a BSH appliance; the model and FD number would suggest it is.

Hi Steve, sorry just seen this.
Is the water ok? If so, then the problem will be in either the ice maker itself or the water lines that run to it.
I’d take them off and rinse them through with a mild solution of Milton sterilising fluid.
See where that gets you.
