phoned Maytag parts for a price and part number today.
call 1) quoted price for water solonoid valve and door seal for neptune MAH3000AGW. Door seal price way too low and obvioulsy wrong, solonid valve way to high. Phone customer to give them the bad news that my guestimate of the cost was way too low. Customer reluctantly agrees to go ahead.
call 2) go to order parts, Maytag tell me the door seal is out of stock at a price 4 times more than that originally quoted but a new, lower (by not much admittedly) price for the valve. OK though I should check with customer again.
call 3) go to order parts, quoted completely differrent prices again!Whats going on?
The price I now have to pay is: Solonoid valve £83.63 door seal £44.30 (the first call was £93 and £8.40) both before vat and the £5.38 handling charge.
Anyone know of another source of these parts?
Wonder what the price will be tommorrow?
