Maytag Toploader Fills Then Stops

Hi customer called said the machine fills for approx 8 seconds then goes off .does the same every time spins ok and he says the drum has no water in it never done one before and its a good run so any help would be appreciated . mod no mav5920agw . merry christmas to all at uk white goods . Rich

poss one of the solonoid valves has gone, try it on a cold wash to find out and then swtich to a hot wash.
