    My megger has gone fizz pop 😥
    Been looking around for a replacement but my heads gone with the dirrerent types and features 😕
    just wondered what your guys use? Or can recommend any?

    I got a Gossen Metra Hit 16I (German) off e-bay about a year ago. It is brilliant. One meter does everything. Insulation tester 500/1000 plus auto ranging ohms, volts, uF, temp, diode test, audio signal. And it’s not much bigger than an average multi meter. Does cost about £400 plus from Farnell but maybe there’ll be another one on e-bay for £40?

    Personally I like my meggar with a needle, the only one I could find was one on ebay they are all digital now.

    A needle and a crank handle those were the days .I trained with my late father and he wouldnt use anything else , he aquired his whilst workig as an electrician on power stations in the sixties 😉

    I left my dilog multi tester in a customers house and these guys were Brilliant he;ping out with a used replacement meter.

    calibration is also super fast & CHEAP
