Hi all
Part of my new job description is looking after some Meile Professional Appliances ….mostly I can work around the faults…but this one has me stumped.
It’s an air vented tumble dryer in an old folk’s home …..after about 10 mins it can cut out completely….no display….if I reset it it displays “ 8”….if I push start it runs again. I’ve checked the hose and pipes…filter…heaters..and all seems ok…any ideas?

Check that you have good airflow through the machine.
Have had the fan break up causing similar problems

Will check it out tomorrow….had it all apart last week…one of the heaters was O/C…replaced it and its run ok for 4 days.

Found it! Although this is a 3 phase machine a 240 v feed is taken through the door switch/on off switch…etc…. and then runs through a self-resetting stat on both motors before feeding the main module . The stat on the main motor keeps tripping and the drum is free so I’ve ordered up a new motor…hopefully job done.
