A customer of mine got quite upset when I discarded the piece of polystyrene that sits under the Indesit/Ariston ‘Evolution’ range of machines. Challenging me by saying that the installation instructions state it should be left in position?????
I honoured her request and after I fixed the machine, duly put the squared off lump of polystyrene back under the machine and slotted it back into position.
BUT, I would love to know what it is supposed to do and represent? As 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of Indestit/Aristons I have been to since, have discarded them on installation. Why would Merloni want it left there? and why do they show it on the parts list with no replacement part number if it is that important?
Perhaps its there to stop the air getting to the motor so they burn out more quickly? Belisimo Marco!
