metal in micro

went to fix door latch on this neff built in micro. done that then went to heat cup ov water in it. then women says uv got to put tea spoon in it. to stop it boiling over. i said u cant put metal in a microwave.o yes u can . she gets manual out. an low an behold .it says so weird. 😆 dont get that?

yes you can put metal in m/w. (some are metal interior and have screws.)
most metal sufaces will deflect the microwaves, gold trim on plates etc will not. the easy rule is to say no metal. i did read up on all the technical bits years ago but forgot most of it now.
even foil the container is usually ok when heating a pie.

so ave been taken my chineese owt metal containers for last 20 years an not needin to. to re heat, :rolls: mmmm am sure a tryd it once. and sounded like a bullet in side
