    I have a APM 6528 fridge which the alarm keeps sounding every 30 mins or so. While the alarm sounds the numbers 4 & 7 flash on the control panel. An engineer came out and unfortunately didn’t inspire me with confidence and just stated that “its your control panel – that will be £140 to buy”. Is he possibly right? if so I will have to make a decision as to getting it repaired or replace it. The fridge & freezer box are working fine, however the freezer does a little more ice formation than normal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    “Electrical unit” is p/no 4812 214 79445. SSP is showing at about £87 plus VAT, however, several wholesalers are showing the part as obsolete. As for the diagnosis, I can’t comment.
