Re: MFI Larder APP 6302 Not cold enough
I’ve seen this quite a few times with built-in fridges and, all too often, it is down to the installation. Basically I’ve found that there has been little or no ventilation so you get two problems;
The heat builds up inside the furniture raising the ambient in there.
The heat build up causes the compressor to cut out on overheat.
Both become far more obvious as the outer ambient rises, as in we get into summer, the season for fridges as we know it. This fault can take the compressor out.
As the compressor is cut out short of it’s full cycle the internal temperature of the fridge rises and this is only further compounded where the air temperature surrounding the unit is also too high which only serves to raise the internal temperature still higher.
So first make sure that there is adequate ventilation as is detailed in the installation instructions as, in my experience, most kitchen fitters don’t bother to read them.
Hope that helps.
