    My existing built-in microwave (Miele M626EG) has come to the end of its life and I’m in the process finding a replacement.
    My problem is that the existing oven is built in under a counter and current models seem to specify an installation height of 85cm.
    How important is this?

    It does vary I must admit.

    Hotpoint are okay unless it’s a side open door model, Neff say you can, but if it’s being installed under a hob then the submerged depth must be considered.

    Miele do seem to be the only one’s who say they are not suitable for installation under a worktop. Trouble is if you install it and it develops a fault Miele will simply walk away as the installation has not been carried out in accordance with the instructions. If you require further info then a call to them on 01235 554455 may be the way to go.
