Miele 3364W not draining

Our Miele 3364W stopped yesterday with both inlet and drain lights flashing. After reading an earlier post, I cleaned out the drain area in the door in the bottom front left, then we tipped the machine to get rid of water in the base.

All seemed to be well as no lights flashing but it’s failing to drain and just the drain light comes on. I guess there is some blockage elsewhere? I checked and cleaned out the external drainage piping and that’s OK.

It’s about four years old but does come with a 10 year guarantee. Is there any more DIY worth doing or is it best to call an engineer and is this likely to be covered by the guarantee?

Some Mieles have a drain channel going up the rear inside of appliance that blocks up & sump hose (tub to pump) could be blocked or drain pump failure. Some even have the pressure vessel blocked which gives strange signals to electronics & appliance does’nt work. If you don’t feel competant to check these things get an expert out.
