ParticipantI’ve posted another thread about the 138 error code and my miele.
i got someone to pull the machine out so it can dry out , and while it was moved I just swept under it. I found this: see photo. What is it, is it something significant? Hopefully I can post a photoOctober 1, 2022 at 5:09 pm #483831teresagreen

ParticipantIt’s a flat, wedge shape piece of white plastic about 2.5 inches long which has a metal loop on the end that looks a bit like you get on a fuse

ParticipantNo idea either, as electrofix says doubt it’s from the machine, wrong font and colour for Miele

ParticipantAh ok thanks, i never thought to check the font etc thanks all.
now I’ve eliminated tnis, can anyone tell me, my washer produced an error cod 138, I have got it working again by levelling it with a wedge but it for seem to be leaking a little from the base, I assume this is the drip tray overflowing error? Do. Need to call tne Miele engineer. I’ve cancelled tne £279 visit but I think I’ll need to book tne £150 visit? Is tnis sound right or is there anything else I can do to put it rightOctober 2, 2022 at 1:15 pm #483840matrixresonator
ParticipantWhen you moved it some water will have run out resetting the float switch. If there’s a fault it will continue leaking and activate the float again.

Moderatorthere are various reasons why it floods the base. normally a hole in a hose or the door rubber. does it dribble down the front of the machine from the door or soap draw? it can end up underneath by going through the kick strip

ParticipantThe item in the photo is a tick removal tool for pets. I have a less bent version exactly like it.

I left a mixer tap running slightly over my worktop , and had a minor flood, I think water would have got under the machine that way.
