Got a miele condenser (model unsure) approx 10 years old.

Machine wont start, traced issue to flood overfill switch, because it works ok when pump assebly lifted up a few mm, and also when flood switch is actually disconnected but when all pushed in it just wont start again, so presuming its all sludged up. My only problem is workjing out how it comes out, it looks like the top half of the pump assembly almost untwists off, but im not wanting to bust it!!

Any advice? need ot see this tonight/tomorrow as she wants it sorted for easter 🙁

Quite simple in theory, but hard to explain. Best to disconnect cable & hose etc first. So if you can imagine looking down on pump there is a clip that holds pump in place, release clip & turn complete pump 1/4 turn, it then should lift out upwards.

ok i can visualise it, if im looking down on pump, leaning over THE front to peer at the behind, so t/d front is pressed into my (overweight) gut, is it the lhs clip, or the rhs clip ?

PS cheers seamy, i gues if id gone gungho for it, id of suceeded, but at miele part prices, check twice before levering open…?!

Also while im down there is there anywhere else i should be lloking at checking for desludging/fluffing?

Also had the base assembly block with fluff.
There is 1 clip that stops the thing from rotating to be removed. Cant remember which side, but a mirror will help you see it. I find them a bit fiddly, but quite robust.
