ParticipantDear fellow members!
BRAND: MIELE
TYPE: Induction hob/cooker
MODEL NUMBER: 2 pcs KM-418-1/GB and 1pcs “temporary missing”
Video link for my problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctsgYih_SYkI have 3pcs of MIELE cooker induction hobs installed in my kitchen and they have started giving me intermittent problems lately. They all started giving me problems simultaneously during the last 3 weeks and they have been installed for several years without any known problems.
The problem is the following:
When I try to start them, the power goes on but when I apply “power” to my cooking zones it does not apply any power and gives me the error message E6 (flashing E, then 6, then E …and so on) and it shuts off a few seconds after.
I have tried to restart them, let them cool down after use and I have made sure my grounding of the equipment is proper but I find no pattern for when the problem occurs.Sometimes it works fine for a while but sometimes it does not, even though the surrounding conditions may be the same.
MIELE customer service could not give me any information about error code E6 and advised me to call a service technician. Tomorrow Monday I will contact a MIELE service technician but I would love to find the reason to the problem.
Many thanks in advance from Stefan in France

So the MIELE technician was here today and had a look at the cooker stations.
The cooking range in divided inside in several circuit boards and error E6 means that there is a fault with the “power-board” inside. However the fault in the power board can also be generated by surrounding equipment (eg faulty washing machine) emitting transients or my 230V-line being “instable” or weak causing the voltage to drop significantly.
One unit is taken to the MIELE certified workshop for troubleshooting and I will keep this thread updated with the result from the troubleshooting this week.
