    Hi
A relative is having a problem with their fitted coffee machine, they say that the water heater leaks water and stops the machine heating up and moving onto the next cycle.
I have not had a chance to look at it yet, but has anuone come across a similar issue?

    regards

    Martin

if it has the horseshoe shaped element your looking at £350 plus to repair if it the heater like a large aluminium block its not worth it. Those machines are old now and only have an expected life of 5000 coffees prog>settings>number of coffees in the menu will give you an idea of use but anything with a prefix of 21 or under will probably not be worth repair.

you will probably find that it’s made by saeco/gaggia. There is a steam valve that used to be prone to leaking.
give sgs a call for parts i’ve found them quite reasonable 😀
