F14 Water intake fault – Level switch – Heating ..
Worth a try checking the pressure-switch mounted on the pump this switches on heater only when enough water pressure is present, a problem that i’ve encountered with these dishwashers is that if customer uses a cheapish brand of dishwashing powder it over-foams & hense the switch detects a fault, switch removes by turning it aprox 90 degrees anti clockwise i think from memory.
Theres a full list of Miele faults on the Trade Technical Enquiries page 4 of Known Faults i think. Best of luck.

can i tag onto this thread please?
on friday i went to exactly this dishwasher which was displaying the f14 error code.
after resetting it i tried it on different cycles including cold rinse.it fills o.k. to normal level
it drains water out o.k. when required.
on each cycle i tried the time to end would count down about two minutes whilst first draining out and then filling to normal level. at this point you can hear a buzzing noise followed by the spray pump spraying for a few seconds before stopping.from now on the time to end display does not change. there is a pause of a few seconds before the buzz followed by spray pump again for a few seconds. this goes on for about 8 or 9 attempts before it finally throws out the toys and flashes an f14 fault.
the customer was unsure whether the machine is still under warranty, so i refused to touch it for now. however if i do get the job then a heads-up will be greatly appreciated.thanks

cheers chris
i’m at the cuystomers house now. i located and removed the switch from the pump housing. i’ve tested contacts are o.k by operating it with my srewdriver.
now i’ve seen it running with covers off i saw that the spray pump is barely creating enough pressure to supply the upper nozzel.
i changed the 10mF capacitor but it made no difference.i think that we must be looking at a new spray pump. do you think this is likely on such a new macjhine? if so can you advise as to cost?
thanks

could be something blocking the impellor of the pump, the circulation pump is easilly dismantled, i’ve had paper/plastic etc caught up in them causing the said problem
