Miele D/Washer G646SC Leak – See Photo, Insight Wanted

Hi,

Just after a little insight in case someone has experience in this regard.

The Miele is leaking into the base. I took the bottom cover off and chocked the machine up a couple of inches.

On operating the leak appeared almost immediately and dripped off the bottom of the motor – see picture.

The underside is pristine and when I inspected the area again having laid it on its side there was no evidence of any water anywhere else (that was observable) other than the where it had dripped from the motor.

I am presuming the impeller housing seal has failed. I am looking for a little reassurance as anything to do with Miele can be expensive. :eeek:

Can anyone confirm this can be a weak area?

Hi Lawrence,
Yes fitted a few motor seal kits.
The seal kit can be bought separately from the motor, as far as I know you can only purchase it directly from miele.
