fills to level, then starts to circulate, but the pump sounds sluggish.
there is 240v to motor, capacitor checks out ok, (i even tried another).
there are no blockages. the pump runs for around 12 seconds, then stops for about the same time, then it starts again for another 12 seconds, and so on until i switch it off. if i restart it drains fine. any ideas.
If its a dodgy pump, would this cause the on and off fault !
Are you talking about the drain pump or the circ pump? Circ pump impellors often get clogged with stuff on these causing the lack of pressure in the arms.
thanks eastlmark, got into work early to get this thing sorted, you are correct, clear poly bag nicely tucked into the impellor. could not spot it when i took hoses off. working fine now, no idea how such a large object got though into there.
