Miele Dishwasher G646SC – advice on noisy drying fan?

This dishwasher has started to make a squeaking noise and dribble water from the drying fan ventilation outlet, just above the text “Turbotermic plus” top left of the door.

Is this easily serviceable or is it likely to require a new fan?

Drain tube for the fan could well be blocked.
Unplug from mains, and remove the outer door panel. The drain pipe for the fan should then be easily seen. remove it and make sure its clean. You may have to check the fan fitting too (they sometimes block that end too).
Refit panel, replug in and test.
